Hover Shooter VR

You are a fugitive, an escaped criminal from the city of Bright City. At least, that's the story they tell people. Escape from this corrupted city and forge your own future.

 

Shoot enemies in this endless runner style game, achieve high scores and points but most important, SURVIVE!

My Roles

​

Game Designer

As a group, we continually challenge our design every week by looking at play tests results, feedback from our peers and lecturers and seeing what is fun for the player.

​

This is our first time tinkering with Virtual Reality (VR) so we have to apply different game design rules as we usually do.

​

 

Modeler

Primarily, my role is to model all the enemies, props and the environment.

 

I took inspiration for TRON so all the objects had to have certain faces with a different material applied to them.

 

Then, in Unity, I replaced the material with a glowing material to show that glowing look.

​

Scripting and Animation

My secondary role was to do up animations for the enemies (boss fly-in, Cycle left and right movement and Wheel motion), UI animations (score texts, game over screen) and do up certain particle effects (light speed effect, bullet impact explosion, rocket fire).

​

Additionally, I had a part in scripting some of the features such as spawning random power ups in between the 3 lanes.
